Anjappar’s humble beginnings started in Chennai more than 50 years back offering the Chennai some typical Chettinad food. As time passed, Anjappar became synonym for Chettinad Cuisine. The people’s demand as led us to take this experience overseas. Anjappar has been accommodating the changes of time by increasing their standards to cater the ever-growing necessities of today’s taste hunters. And now Anjappar Restaurants have preserved the culinary traditions and served as one of the most outstanding Ambassadors of Chettinad Cuisine."

"Finally, there's authentic chettinad cuisine in San Diego! We ordered Chicken lollipop, Gobi 65, Egg non-veg biriyani, parotta and chettinad fish kulambu and Nannari sarbath. Everything was super delicious 😋 Chettinad cuisine in general is meant to be spicy, so keep your expectations up to it. Great service too. We will be regulars here."

"Food is so delicious 😋.. I have ever had this much tasty and authentic South Indian food in San Diego so far in several years. Food is Very much satisfying. "I don't usually write reviews unless I'm completely satisfied, and I have to say that Anjappar exceeded my expectations. We ordered Veg Kothu parotta, chicken 65, Mutton Chukka, and Chicken Biriyani, and everything was absolutely delicious. Our order was ready on time for pickup, and we were impressed by the taste and quality of the food. I guess we will be driving from Temecula every weekend just to enjoy such amazing food. I highly recommend this place!"

"Anjappar, Sandiego is serving Authentic Chetinadu food. I went there with family and everyone enjoyed the food. Not only for adults, it satisfied the tastebud and spice level for kids and elders. Biryanis were awesome…it just melted in my mouth. Other items in the menu were also too good!!! I truly enjoyed their service and highly recommend everyone ( not only the food lovers) to experience this awesome South Indian cuisine."

"My adult daughter and I went here for the first time and had a delicious dinner. It's a new restaurant and she'd heard of this international chain, so she was very excited to come here when she found out this place had recently opened. It's in a sort of strip mall of restaurants, so there's plenty of parking. We were warmly greeted upon entering and I'm going to guess it's family run and operated. They all really were so kind and attentive, we felt really looked after. Like they really wanted us to enjoy the food and experience. It was all very nice and clean, and there's a room in the back also. Family friendly! Right now, they have a sort of starter menu and they said in about a month they'll be expanding it with additional items. By "starter" I don't mean appetizers, I mean on the limited side. But, believe me, there are enough items to please anyone! I had the Mushroom 65 Biryani which was delicious and perfectly seasoned - not too spicy, just enough to feel the flavor! I loved it. My daughter also loved what she ordered. We will definitely be back!
